COVID-19 Precautions

As of 5/18/2020 Fairfax Gynecology has begun a phased approach to reopening the office to our patients. In an effort to continue preventing the spread of COVID-19 we will be taking additional precautions in our office. You will see the actions we have taken and the actions we are asking each one of our patients to take listed below. We will continue to offer virtual visits for all GYN concerns. The majority of insurance plans cover this service. Our team remains committed to supporting our patients and is available to answer your questions. Please call us with your questions, concerns, refill requests and appointment requests.

Patient Precautions:

* You must wear a mask or face covering when visiting the office
* Call the office prior to your appointment if you have any symptoms of or believe you may have been exposed to COVID-19
* Update your address, phone number, email and pharmacy prior to your visit
* Provide your insurance information prior to the visit
* Our team will instruct you to call from the car once you arrive in the parking lot. Our waiting room is closed in an effort to keep the number of people in the suite to 10 or less (including our staff).

* Clean your hands immediately upon entering our office. There is a hand sanitizer station setup just inside the door.
* One of our staff will greet you to take your temperature prior to check-in.
* Patients with a fever of 100.0 or higher will be asked to reschedule and referred to their primary care physician for further evaluation.
* Upon check-in, you will receive any necessary paperwork and escorted to an exam room to complete it there.
* Please follow the floor decals for social distancing at check-in and checkout
* We are asking our patients who are over age 60 or our patients who have lung disease, heart disease high blood pressure, presently on chemo or immune impacting medications, or other high-risk health factors to refrain from visiting the office at this time. We expect to begin scheduling annual exams for those patients 8/17/2020. Please contact the office if you have the need for a problem focused visit.
